Transgender Catholics Research Study

Are you a transgender person interested in talking about your experiences of Catholicism, faith, and spirituality? 

Kori Pacyniak, a trans Catholic PhD candidate at University of California, Riverside is conducting an ethnographic study on the lived religious experiences of transgender Catholics. 

To be eligible to participate, you need to self-identify as transgender and catholic*, 18 or older, speak English, and live in U.S. 

** By trans, we include trans, non-binary, genderqueer, genderfluid, gender non-conforming, etc. ; By Catholic, we include Roman Catholic, Independent Catholic, lapsed Catholic, recovering Catholic, ex-catholic, etc. - If Catholicism has played a part in your life, you are probably eligible to participate.

Participation involves a 60-90 minute zoom interview which will include questions about faith, gender, spirituality, and catholicism. All participants will have the chance to review transcripts of their interviews and may withdraw from the study at any time. View the informed consent form here.
